Health Care Complaints Commission
The Health Care Complaints Commission is an independent, statutory organisation that provides support and services to the people of New South Wales by providing a means to make a complaint about health services and individual health practitioners. The Commission works with the Medical Board in a co-regulatory environment.
Australian Medical Council
The Australian Medical Council is the national body responsible for the accreditation of medical schools and courses in Australia and New Zealand, the assessment for admission to practice of overseas trained medical practitioners and uniform approaches to registration of medical practitioners.

Organisations providing advice for doctors
Doctors' Health Advisory Service
The DHAS provides assistance to doctors experiencing problems relating to their health. These problems are mainly divided into those relating to substance abuse and problems of physical or psychological illness. The DHAS is independent of all other medical organisations and offers confidential advice to impaired doctors, their families and medical students.
Australian Medical Association
The Australian Medical Association (AMA) is an independent organisation. The primary role of the AMA is to formulate policies on issues of concern to the medical profession.
