This information is for medical graduates from countries other than Australia and New Zealand, (International Medical Graduates: IMGs) who are seeking registration in New South Wales. This section provides information on the pathways to general registration and the various categories of temporary registration also available to IMGs.

All IMGs applying for registration in NSW must meet certain pre-requisite requirements. Read More

2. National pathways to general registration
By national agreement, all States and Territories have introduced consistent assessment and registration pathways for IMGs, in addition to the existing Australian Medical Council (AMC) examination pathway. See also AMC graduates link.

The assessment and registration pathways for new applicants are as follows:

• Standard Pathway
